Who was he in 'Dads Army'?

My father was a cousin of Talfryns. I recall he told me that Talfryn was a rear gunner on a bomber that crashed in the war following this Talfyn had 'shell shock' and initially took up amateur dramatics to help his recovery. Best wishes with the biography.

I'm sure i first saw him as a kid on a children's TV show before seeing him in Dads Army. He played a cracking character, ok maybe stereotypically Welsh but absolutely brilliant. What a shame he didn't get more credit. Oh well, perhaps we're lucky with what we did get.
