Micah Thomas

Founder of the South Wales Baptist College (1807). One of the people who campaigned for the lives of the Chartist leaders who were sentenced to death at Monmouth in 1840. Their death sentences were commuted to transportation for life to Australia.

Connection: Born and raised in Monmouthshire. Lived for many years in Abergavenny, where he was connected with Frogmore St. Baptist Church.
