Stated as Welsh in an entry on the web, have been unable to dig up any background on him.

Trying to determine when, where and which Mrs Bicknell that John Davies (Tahitian missionary) married. Either Mrs Mary Ann Bicknell nee Adams (widowed in 1820, wife of Henry) or Mrs Ann Bicknell, formally Scott (wife of William) nee Bradley. William Scott (Tahitian missionary and Ann Bradley's first husband) died 9th February or more likely 8th November 1815 on the island of Eimao (Moorea). Any help please?

John Davies (1722-1855) was born in Pont-Robert Montgomeryshire. Missionary of the London missionary society from 1800. He reached Tahiti on 10th, July, 1801. He married twice. From his first wife, I just know her name, Mary. His second wife is Mary Ann Bradley, Bicknell's widow. She died on 30th, January, 1826. I may be wrong but I think her grave still exists at Papetoai, Moorea.
