Born in Carmarthen 1915, died in Llwynypia Hospital in 1998. Sold millions of records in UK and USA, married James Bond star, Roger Moore.

Born Edna May Squires in Pontyberem,Carmarthen on March 25th,1915. Known for her legendary career as a singer and equally so her rags to riches and back to rags life story. Best remembered for her 'sell out' concerts at The London Palladium in the early 1970's. She passed away in 1998 after an eventful life.

Dorothy, along with husband Billy Reid bought the old Astoria cinema in Llanelli and made it into a theatre. The likes of 'Morecambe and Wise' and 'Harry Seccombe' appeared there.

Gerri smith
