Once threw Kurt Cobain of rock band Nirvana out of the club for not paying to get in. Cobain was there to watch his girlfriend, Courtney Love play with her band Hole. Cobain is said to have proposed to Courtney Love later that night at TJ's!
Connection: John is owner and manager of Newport's famous 'TJ's Disco' where many famous bands have played, including Oasis, Courtney Love and Dead Kennedys.

This is John Sicolo, I did not throw Kurt Cobain out of TJ's. What actually happened on the night that Courtney Love's band Hole were performing was, Kurt turned up un-announced and I did not know who he was so asked for his admission fee. Much to the surprise of Simon Phillips of 'Cheap Sweaty Fun' who was promoting the show. Simon then let me know who Kurt was.
