Award winning influential country singer songwriter. Born in 1953 in Seguin, near San Antonio, Nanci grew up in Austin Texas. Rolling Stone magazine has even refered to her as 'the Queen of Folkabilly.

One of America's top country singers. On her greatest hits album she sings a song called 'The road to Aberdeen'. In this song she says her mother was from Aberdeen and her father from Cardiff. She also claimed in an interview that she got her love of singing from her Welsh father.
